Dizzee's English Translates to Digital-Only Stateside

Dizzee's English Translates to Digital-Only Stateside Looks like Dizzee Rascal's forthcoming third LP, Maths & English, will roll a little less deep in the United States, where-- as reported on Billboard.com and confirmed by a Rascal representative-- Maths will exist solely in digital format.

Dirtee Stank/XL will still release the UK grimester's third offering Stateside on June 5, but the only way we'll be gazing at cross-armed Dizzee's mug on fuchsia while taking in his gritty narratives on urban plight will be if we print the downloaded cover art-- or score the physical album on import from the UK or mainland Europe, where it will still hit shops in that antiquated format on June 4. According to Exclaim.ca, Canadians get Maths in CD and double LP formats as well, on June 5.

The decision apparently stems from the significantly poorer sales experienced by Showtime (Dizzee's sophomore set) in America as compared to Boy in Da Corner (his debut), as well as Dizzee's general reluctance to promote the new record in this hemisphere.

As previously reported, LP the third features contributions from Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, and UGK. Dizzee teaches Maths & English at a bunch of dates overseas in the coming months.
