If it turns out the burgeoning economy of the new China is built on a steady supply of peyote, you've got two things to thank: condoms, and psychedelic Sub Poppers Jennifer Gentle. A prophylactic ad featuring "I Do Dream You" from the Italian band's last record, Valende, is taking the world's most populous nation by storm. And after a few viewings of the hypnotic, symbolism-laden clip, we too are feeling an odd compulsion to bump our uglies with some fuzz bass.

Midnight Room, the second Sub Pop offering from the psych-popping safety advocates, will come, sheathed in protective plastic, on June 19. The band will set off on a tour in support of the ten-track offering next week-- including a few dates on the Chinese mainland.
