If you're still with us, you might be just the thing ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead need right now. The Texan blockbusters have set their sights on a European tour in August and September (exact dates coming soon), but usual kit-crasher Doni Schroader can't make the trip. This is where you come in. Send an email to XXXX if you think yourself fit for Doni's shoes. It's a temp job, mind you, but it's one to tell the folks about.

In other Trail of Dead news, the boys have been "working on composing songs for a new record," as Trail-blazer and recent Austin expat Conrad Keely wrote last month on the band's website. That new record would be the follow-up to last year's So Divided.

Typically cagey Keely also railed on Trail of Dead's most recent video-- the Cat Solen-directed "Naked Sun"-- calling it "atrocious" and a "worthless piece of crap" and explaining that the band did not approve it and had nothing to do with it whatsoever. Ah well, so much for being lighthearted.

But hey! Conrad also says touring Europe is "fun." He also promises a U.S. tour, but only "to keep our American booking agent happy." Aw gee guys, thanks!

The band also recently posted a dance remix of "Naked Sun" on their MySpace page. The revamping comes courtesy of one DJ Cat, who, we assume, is not related to Cat Solen.
