Even equipped With Lasers, Bonde do Role are no match for the misdeeds of plaque buildup, tooth decay, and gingivitis. Hence, the Brazilian party-starters have been forced to cancel a stretch of North American West Coast dates as one of their own-- DJ Rodrigo Gorky-- returns to the motherland for "emergency dental surgery," according to the band's publicist.

This means gigs in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, L.A., and San Diego will go on Bonde-less, as Gorky faces the dentist's drill. Just hang in there dude, and you might get a sticker when it's over!

As of now, Bonde are still playing every summer festival known to humankind. Their debut LP, Bonde do Role With Lasers, dropped today on Domino, and Bonde MC Marina lends her pipes to the upcoming Go! Team disc.
