Ex-Trucker Isbell Preps LP, Tours With Centro-Matic
Also seeks manager
One-time Drive-By Trucker Jason Isbell will venture into The World of the Solo Artist on July 10, when New West Records releases Sirens of the Ditch, his debut solo full-length. Though he has managed to get Sirens' debut single-- "Brand New Kind of Actress"-- available for download via iTunes already, Isbell wrote in a recent MySpace blog post that he "need[s] good management ASAP! I'm getting tired of doing all this myself and it's seriously cutting into my creative time. If you are interested and capable, send me contact info and a list of artists you work with or have worked with in the past. I have an agent, a lawyer, and a record label in place now."
With or without a manager, Isbell will take to the road with his Muscle Shoals, Alabama backing band the 400 Unit in tow. Opening up quite a few shows will be Centro-matic, who have some summer dates of their own as well.
