Photos: Boredoms' 77BOADRUM [Brooklyn, NY; 07/07/07]
Photos by William KirkA few Boredoms and 70-some of their closest, most cacophonic stick-wielding friends took to the mean streets-- er, greens-- of New York City's Brooklyn Bridge Park Saturday for their long-planned 77BOADRUM attack. It was loud, and bizarre, and spectacular: and, judging by one of the videos we stuck in Forkcast over the weekend, the sound of 77 drums will invert the very photosynthetic makeup of the universe.
Stay tuned for a full feature writeup from Pitchfork's Jess Harvell and more photos tomorrow morning.
And while 77BOADRUM may have come and gone, Boredoms will continue stirring up magic across a series of summer dates.
