Mountain Goat captain John Darnielle and first mate Peter Hughes will lead whomever else happens to be in the band (perhaps nobody?) on a tour of the East Coast of North America this fall. Along the way, they will play music, travel in vehicles, and, presumably, eat and drink for nourishment.

Joining them on this road odyssey will be fellow North Carolinians Bowerbirds, who count Darnielle as superfan #1.

The tour begins September 20 in D.C. and ends October 2 in Brooklyn.
