Beck, Neko Case, M. Ward, Deacon Do Bumbershoot

Every year the North American capital of rain gets a big ol' Bumbershoot, and this year is certainly no exception.

For the 2008 installment of its precipitation-flouting event, Seattle's Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival welcomes the likes of Beck, Neko Case, M. Ward, Dan Deacon, !!!, the Walkmen, Final Fantasy, Blitzen Trapper, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Del the Funky Homosapien, John Vanderslice, Saul Williams, Arthur & Yu, Lucinda Williams, and, what do you know, the reemergent Stone Temple Pilots.

These and many many more will keep dry at various spots within the Emerald City's Seattle Center from August 30 through September 1, known in these parts as Labor Day Weekend. As for the "Arts" portion of the fest, attendees can look forward to a whole mess of films, comedy, puppet shows, art installations, lectures, theater performanes, a Flatstock poster fair, and heaps more. Rain, rain...get lost!
