It's been quiet--maybe too quiet?-- around the Walkmen camp lately. In fact, beyond that brief tour with Spoon and news that they'd be vacating Record Collection for their new LP, Walkmen news has been at a crawl in 2008. But that's about to change.

The Walkmen recently took to their website to announce that their fourth LP (guess they're not counting Pussy Cats, either) will be released August 19 on Gigantic Records. There's no title or tracklist at this point.

They do have one gig scheduled: Labor Day weekend in Seattle as part of Bumbershoot Festival.
