T.I. Takes Community Service to TV, Shares LP Details

T.I. Takes Community Service to TV, Shares LP Details One man's hours upon hours of community service will soon turn into an entire nation's hours upon hours of quality TV viewing. According to a Variety.com report, Clifford Joseph Harris Jr.-- T.I. to the streets-- has plans to parlay the 1,000 hours of community service he's already begun serving for last year's gun charges into a full-on MTV reality television series.

The virtually music-free network has designs on producing eight episodes of the as-yet-untitled show, which will chronicle T.I.'s adventures in motivational speaking. For a taste of what that's like, MTV.com has a clip of a little T.I. pep talk from earlier this month right here.

Shooting for "T.I. Tells It" or whatever they decide to name the thing begins in earnest this summer, with the series slated to air sometime after T.I. starts serving his one-year prison sentence early next year. The show's producers intend to adhere to Mr. Harris's court-ordered probation, and they'll also document the release of T.I.'s latest opus, Paper Trail, which he's been putting together while under house arrest.

Speaking of Paper Trail, the rapper recently revealed some more details surrounding that record to MTV.com. As previously reported, the T.I. vs. T.I.P. follow-up should hit stores August 12 via Grand Hustle/Atlantic if all goes according to plan (and does it ever?). In addition to the good stuff we noted before-- the Kanye/B.O.B.-bolstered track "Top of the World" and the Forkcast-featured "No Matter What"-- Paper also looks likely to include tracks called "Turn My Beat Down", "My Life, Your Entertainment", "Collect Call", and "I'm Illie".

Find out just how "illie" T.I. is at one of the man's upcoming live dates.
