As the sole purveyor of smirking '60s Austin Powers- style pop today, Collins has found his niche and he ain't moving. I'm Not Following You has amusement value -- retro amusement, that is. His sugary-sweet, lounge-lizard delivery over goofy organ arrangements makes for thoroughly vacant pop fuzz, which might be good, if cotton candy is your favorite meal. Me, I'd go insane in about eight listens if I was locked in a room with it and not permitted exit, but that's me. Perhaps you yearn for in- yer- face pop- slop- stupidity, but that's what the Spice Girls are for, innit?
