You Are The Space Invader

Hey surprise: this band doesn't make dance music. Unless you bump this track up a few dozen BPMs, the song only yields a few knuckle-dragging herk-jerks, nothing more, but it could collect pools of water inside its pockets of dry bass and hollow toms. That emptiness means it's easier to listen to them lob accusations ("You're hiding from your sister"), implications ("There's a baby boy/ and a baby girl") and dubious facts ("You know white bread gives you cancer") over these three minutes of "Come Together"--style insolence. Their accents (Prinzhorn hail from Brighton, UK) only intensify the sneer-- perfect for the upcoming remixes, though this first single shows that there's no need to wait.

"Eat, Sleep" sounds as if the band is responding to the accusations. The duo's male and female vocalists shout "Eat...and sleep!" between reminders that "there are monsters" out there-- the best possible reason for hiding out in your room.
