M83's Debut LP to See U.S. Release

Imports are expensive and hard to come by. Not only do you have to pay exorbitant shipping costs, but the Euro will kill you (go, U.S. economy, go!). Plus, it's tough to navigate those crazy foreign websites. Well, don't check the exchange rates and head over to Amazon.fr just yet. Mute are going to release M83's self-titled debut album in the U.S. for the first time, thanks to the popularity of their last two albums, 2003's Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts and 2005's Before the Dawn Heals Us.

The album, released in France on Gooom in 2001, will feature the same artwork and same audio as its initial release. It will be a CD-only release and will be available on September 6. Tracklist:

01 Last Saturday
02 Night
03 At the Party
04 Kelly
05 Sitting
06 Facing That
07 Violet Tree
08 Staring at Me
09 I'm Getting Closer
10 She Stands Up
11 Carresses
12 Slowly
13 My Face
14 I'm Happy, She Said

Also, M83 have some North American shows coming up, beginning with Lollapalooza in July. They will be back in September, with more dates forthcoming. Visit ilovem83.com for details. And if you hate M83, it's too late to register ihatem83.com-- the band took care of that. However, iamindifferenttom83.com is still available.

07-23 Chicago, IL - Lollapalooza
09-21 New Orleans, LA - TwiRoPa
09-22 Houston, TX - Numbers
09-25 Austin, TX - Austin City Limits
