Cursive Announce Unannounced Shows

Shh... don't tell anybody: Cursive are going on tour. But they only want the true heads to show up, so they only told their fanclub. Well, some loyal fan sold 'em out, 'cause the dates are all over the internet. Whoops. The Omaha emo institution will be performing under such head-slappingly stupid/awesome fake names as Flippy and Hambone, T Lite & the Heavies, Jazz Hessian, Cursifix, Stuffy Dumbfuck, and Sgt. Snippy in a bunch of random small towns like Wilkes Barre, PA, North Manchester, IN and New York, NY (as the "surprise guest" at the Saddle Creek CMJ showcase). Tonight, they're at the Beat Kitchen here in our little burg of Chicago. The band promises "a rockin' set of old, new and new new songs," adding, "Should be fun, if you are into fun." And if there's anything we're into here at Pitchfork, it's fun.
