Kate Bush Unveils Aerial Tracklisting

A right whimsical song-bird, the elusive Kate Bush has emerged from extended career hibernation bent on reasserting her status as Queen Faerie of the Absurdly Magical. Tori and Regina best step aside. To this end she's readied Aerial, a brand effing new double album, her first in 12 years. 12 years?! More like Kate SHIELDS, zing!

Whether you know it or not, Kate Bush totally owns you. And you can totally own her, on November 7 in Europe and November 8 Stateside, and she can serenade you through your dispassionate iPod earbuds. Now for a cloudbusting: the epic tracklist revealed!

Aerial:

Disc One: A Sea of Honey

01 King of the Mountain
02 ð
03 Bertie
04 Mrs. Bartolozzi
05 How to be Invisible
06 Joanni
07 A Coral Room

Disc Two: A Sky of Honey

01 Prelude
02 Prologue
03 An Architect's Dream
04 The Painter's Link
05 Sunset
06 Aerial Tal
07 Somewhere in Between
08 Nocturn
09 Aerial

Unless Kate's taken to ten-minute-plus free-form jazz-jams, Aerial looks to be one of those double-albums-that-will-fit-on-a-single-CD-R, hyphenation be damned. For reals, these two discs only boast three more tracks than The Kick Inside. And what's up with the weird symbol that's the title of the second song on disc one? Has somebody been hanging out with Sigur Rós? But please, we'd be fools to question the motives of the lady who trolled "Babooshka, babooshka, babooshka-ya-ya!"

The first single, "King of the Mountain," is currently available on iTunes, and will be released to brick-and-mortar stores on October 24.
