Danielson Set Sail Across North America
The new Danielson album just scored an enthusiastic 9.1 review from our own Ryan Schreiber, but now the unenviable task falls upon Daniel Smith et al to condense the massively orchestrated sounds of the album into an arrangement suited for live performance. There are still a few latter dates that don't have finalized locations just yet, but expect all that to be tidied up nice and pretty by the time the acutely happy Danielson hits town.

While Danielson is out touring the serene seas of summer, the documentary film Danielson: A Family Movie is screening sporadically at festivals, as well. The film's website says the film tracks the ups and downs of the Danielson family band as each member drifts towards their own interests, as well as founder Daniel Smith's mentoring of a l'il newcomer named Sufjan Stevens. Here's hoping for endless Osmond Family allusions.
