The Matablog informs us of a spate of new tour dates from the ladies and gents of Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks. The recent additions find those Jicks stretching out all over the Midwest and Western Canada, joined at the hip with yet another scruffy set from the Pacific Northwest: Blitzen Trapper. (Malkmus is a fan, I'm told.)

The Trappers will be touring in support of their forthcoming Sub Pop album FURR, out September 23. They've got some dates of their own in late summer, and they'll support Iron & Wine on an East Coast trek in November.
