New Music: Low: Live on Minnesota Public Radio [Stream]

Low made a visit to St. Paul's Minnesota Public Radio statio on Friday to record a short set for The Current. The band played four songs from their most recent release, Drums and Guns. Low, who usually keep stage banter to a minimum, go straight into "Sandinista" and "Murderer" without introduction. Host Mary Lucia asks about "Murder"'s cryptic lyrics, which were inspired by the idea of, "...wanting to receive justification from God for something you're seeking vengeance for," according to singer Alan Sparhawk. They end their set with "Violent Past" and "Breaker". [Via Paper Thin Walls and The Smudge of Ashen Fluff]
