Video: Menomena: "The Pelican" [Live From "Juan's Basement"]

Menomena take the swampy stomp of Friend and Foe's "The Pelican" underground in this live clip from Brooklyn-based Plum TV show "Juan's Basement". Like Wayne and Garth before him, most excellent host Juan presents his program from beneath someone's dwelling, and he's dedicated his show to "put[ting] the greatest rock bands right back where they started."

Vocalist/guitarist Justin Harris-- who's shown in the intro toting a baritone sax that he never actually uses in this song-- keeps the karma flowing by sporting a Barsuk t-shirt, while keyboardist/guitarist Brent Knopf just looks bored and/or cramped most of the time. It's drummer Danny Seim who comes across the most carefree and bad-ass, due in large part to some gleefully erratic zooming and a drum-mounted camera that pulsates every time he slams the kick pedal-- a splendid touch.
