Video Premiere: Thurston Moore: "Fri/End"
One of the warmest and most welcoming songs in the Thurston Moore oeuvre gets a correspondingly personal video directed by Philly Virus. I'm guessing Moore is singing in the basement of his home, judging from the massive wall of LPs (how great would it be to spend an afternoon going through those stacks?), and we also see the man cavorting through the woods with a fine-looking dog (looks to be one of those brainy Australian Shepherds). There's not too much to the clip beyond the mix of homey performance shots and bucolic nature scenes-- Moore plays around in what my father calls a goon hat, holds up some of his record collection for inspection, slams down a large stick, and so on. A final lick from the pooch caps off this ode to simple domestic pleasures.
