Joachim Dyrdahl, aka DiskJokke, hails from Oslo, the city that's home to like-minded producers like Prins Thomas and Lindstrom. As with his homeboys, and Smalltown Supersound labelmate Bjørn Torske, Dyrdahl's tracks are bright, playful, spacey, and colorful, music for the nighttime that retains the warmth of an afternoon on the beach. "Some Signs Are Good", from this forthcoming full-length debut Staying In, mixes hand percussion, handclaps, and dubby synths with a bassline that seems to be burrowing between the drums, evoking nicely the name of the Oslo/London club night where Drydahl is a resident DJ: Sunkissed.
