Pernice Brothers: Another Auld Lang Syne
[Posted Thursday, October 30th, 2003 04:00:00 Pitchfork Central Time]
The Pernice Brothers continue to tour their latest record, Yours, Mine and Ours. They'll join Stephen Malkmus for a few dates in December before hooking up with Boston's Blake Hazard. While the bulk of the tour takes place on the highly flammable left coast in December, the Pernice Brothers return to their homestate of Massachusetts in time to deliver a glorious rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" to an appreciative but inebriated Boston audience on New Year's. At least that's what we assume will happen, and you heard it here first. Joe Pernice: your marching orders. And the dates:

Pernice took on The Smiths' Meat is Murder with a fictional angle, although the protagonist could easily be the author himself.
