The Wedding Present Tour America, Europe
\n\n\ A beloved and successful British band, the Wedding Present had seventeen Top 40 singles in the UK from 1986 to 1996, thanks in part to the late John Peel. In 1992, they had a hit single each month-- something that hadn't been done since Elvis. The emmer-effing King, for cryin' out loud! Makes the Arctic Monkeys' success seem like Gay Dad's, doesn't it?.
\n\n\ The North American portion of the group's epic 2006 tour begins tonight in San Diego, and takes them across the country for the next month. It picks up again in Europe in April and May-- prime wedding season.
