Damien Jurado Robbed!
Computers, cash, clothes stolen
Their gear is intact, but their morale is not: Last week, on their current world tour supporting the just-released And Now That I'm in Your Shadow, Damien Jurado (the band) were the victims of theft. On October 3, as the band performed at Toronto's El Mocambo, thieves broke into their van. The damage? According to a Secretly Canadian representative: "Two laptop computers, all of their show money, all of their merchandise money and all their clothes."
Damien Jurado the man and the band still have a ton of dates scheduled in the U.S. and Europe, so go to a show and buy a t-shirt. In fact, buy t-shirts beforehand and give them to the band. They need them.
