Tindersticks' Stuart A. Staples Launches Tour
Tonight, Tindersticks frontman Stuart A. Staples will kick off his first-ever solo trek through North America. It's in support of this year's Leaving Songs (Beggars Banquet)...and by "solo," we mean with a backing band featuring Neil Fraser and David Boulter (both also in Tindersticks), Terry Edwards, Thomas Belhom, and Robert McKinna. A European jaunt will follow in November.
A video for the record's "That Leaving Feeling" track can be streamed here.
Maria McKee will join Staples at this evening's Los Angeles gig to perform duet track "This Road is Long" from Leaving Songs, and the Mekons' Jon Langford and Sally Timms will support in Chicago.
