Following rather quickly in the burnt rubber wake of last year's surprise delight We, the Vehicles, Milwaukee quartet Maritime strikes back October 16 with the release of third LP Heresy and the Hotel Choir.

The Flameshovel-stamped LP collects 12 new tunes from the spirited guitar-poppers (who count among their ranks two ex-Promise Ringers and one ex-Dismemberment Planner). It was produced by Stuart Sikes (Cat Power, Loretta Lynn) and recorded at Burst HQ in the band's Wisconsin hometown.

Davey von Bohlen and the seaworthy boys sail to Europe this summer for a spate of German dates before returning to the U.S. for the Wicker Park Fest in Chicago.
