D.C. hardcore legends Bad Brains have mellowed out a bit over the years, but they officially inched into yacht rock territory last night when the original lineup played an NYC show on a cruise ship. This special gig, part of the previously reported Rocks Off Concert Cruise Series, brought Brains and fans abroad the "Temptress" to celebrate the release of the band's latest, the Adam Yauch-produced Build a Nation, which came out today on Megaforce Records.

The Temptress also plays hostess to gigs from RJD2, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Brightblack Morning Light, Slick Rick, Amon Tobin, Electric Six, and Kid Koala in the coming weeks.

I tell ya, these boats sure have low ceilings.
