Jamie Lidell to Open for... Elton John!
Grab your electric boots and mohair suits, folks, because one flamboyant British crooner will meet another this fall when Jamie Lidell opens for Elton John on the latter's English arena dates! It's kind of perfect, right?
Lidell will open for Captain Fantastic's "Red Piano" tour in November and December. According to a press release, the performances will feature a "larger-than-life set." The UK tour's "theme...is love, symbolized by the color red and articulated through the songs and state-of-the art effects and high-end imagery."
Considering the heap of tour dates he already had scheduled, Jim's got plenty of chances to warm up for the grand spectacle this summer. And he'll hit "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" on June 10.
On June 16, Warp will release the next Jim single, "Another Day", on CD, 12", and digital download. Included among the B-sides are a Matthew Herbert remix of "Another Day".
"Another Day" single:
CD:
01 Another Day (single version)
02 Little Bit of Feel Good (live)
12":
A1 Another Day
A2 Another Day (Rustie mix)
B1 Another Day (Matthew Herbert mix)
